Julia Higginson has fifteen years of experience in communication ranging from journalism to public relations. She has a unique work history that has given her experience across the spectrum of the communication field. She has six years experience as a journalist, a year as a communications specialist in higher education, two years worth of experience as a graduate research and adjunct faculty while she attended Southern Utah University to receive a masters in professional communication, and six years in public relations and freelance work. During 2014, she was the Communications Manager for Thanksgiving Point where she did everything from public relations to being editor-in-chief of their magazine. With the birth of her son in 2015, Julia switched from the fast paced world of full-time public relations to freelance. Her work has appeared in newspapers across the country, Runner’s World, local news channels including KSL, FOX13, and KUTV. She lives in Utah county with her husband, son, and soon-to-be daughter.
